Gerben Vaillant
on almost every page
A performance, both sexy and lonely, in which the endless interchangeability of people and things becomes palpable and the performers simultaneously have everything and nothing to lose.In this physical performance, Gerben Vaillant brings together several images: the lonely paintings of empty rooms by artist Ben Willekens, a broken relationship, the beauty of pantomime and the endless parade of people walking out the door after a bad one-night stand.
Interdisciplinary performance maker Gerben Vaillant (1994) is fascinated by the distance between man and reality: where man fails to be (part of) a whole. As sensitive as he is radical, he works with different forms: text, dance, image, philosophy, trash, it can always become anything, but is often atmospheric and sometimes confusing in nature. Ultimately, he hopes to contribute to a representation of reality in a way that suits us better.
